Ingredients chosen every morning. Venetian recipes that taste of the sea, of clean flavours and of the season — whatever arrives fresh ends up on the plate.

Private beach in Malcesine, on Lake Garda.
Lido Paina sits 200 metres from the centre of Malcesine, along a lakeside walk that never seems to end — because at every bend another stretch of water opens up.
The terrace is glass and stone. The menu is the one we have always served, with the occasional dish off the card.

02Slow provingRound pizza, an airy crust and a base that is properly baked. The stone turns, so the heat is the same everywhere: no burnt patches, nothing lukewarm.
03Open fireSelected cuts, grilled in the dining room. A live fire changes everything — no sous-vide, no shortcuts.
0430 labelsAround thirty labels: the great grape varieties and a few hidden gems from nearly every Italian region. And of course the local wines — Lugana, Bardolino, Valpolicella.
Sunbeds, parasols and private cabins — with a beach attendant on hand from morning to sunset. You step off the grass, down onto the pebbles, and swim where Lake Garda turns deep straight away.

Prices change with the season. In August it is worth calling early in the morning to find a spot.
